You may already be hearing about confidential computing technologies, such as Intel® TDX, from cloud providers, technology partners or your own security team. You may even have been asked to work out whether your organization should use it.
The basic idea is easy to understand: we already encrypt data when it is stored and while it travels across a network. Confidential computing adds protection while that data is being processed.
But that still leaves some practical questions. What is it actually useful for? Which workloads need it? How are other organizations approaching it? And how do you move from an interesting security capability to something you can deploy and operate?
In this webinar, Ijlal Loutfi from Canonical and Benny Fuhry from Intel will look at confidential computing through real-world use cases. They will explain how it changes the trust model around sensitive workloads, and how hardware and software work together to protect them from the infrastructure on which they run.
This webinar is for you if you’re:
- A security or technology leader trying to decide whether confidential computing is relevant to your organization
- A cloud or platform architect evaluating confidential virtual machines for sensitive workloads
- Part of an AI or data team looking for better ways to protect data, models or intellectual property during processing
- A developer or infrastructure engineer who wants a practical introduction to trusted execution environments and attestation
- Working in a regulated industry and considering how to move sensitive workloads to shared or public-cloud infrastructure
- Interested in how confidential computing is being used today and what it takes to get started
You’ll leave with a clearer picture of what confidential computing can protect, where it is already proving useful, and which questions to ask when assessing it for your own workloads.
